General LSX Automobile Discussion - Which LSX Ride For Next Car?

C5 FRC - build up to a road warrior for road courses and eventually, hopefully compete in a modified class, a lot cheaper to build quickly compared to C5 Z06

C5 Z06 - same intentions as FRC but only carring the "Zoh6" name

Base '06 C6 - modify probably slowly since it would set me back the most

2009/2010 Camaro SS or Z/28 - just to be able to be in the next generation crowd :D (prefer to have an 2010 since most first year models have kinks)

I have anticipated to build which ever one I choose to be heavily modified and either going a heavy dose of road courses and/or drag while having some form of a beater to be my daily driver...

The C5 vette's would be nice since they would be fairly cheap on the budget as the C6 and 5th gen. camaro would set be back many years for financing. Approximently have about a little over $20k to work with in my pocket right now...

which one and why?

id go with the c5 z06 for a car to build up and race.

I'd go C5 Z06....BUT C6's non Z06 can ever be VERY nicely built up, but with $20k to spend C5 is your best bet

C5 FRC cuz with the money you save for more mods + insurance and you can make zo6 guys go :bang:

C5, as for Z06 or not, I don't know. I'm still letting the no hatch grow on me.

c6 fo sho, dont really like the body style of the c5's to be completely honest. Only some when done right look real good, but i love the look of c6's they flow so nicely and they sit so freakin perfect.

If anticipations are correct they have been working on this new camaro for so long the kinks should hopefully not be there as they were when they rushed into production (cough) (98) on other models..lol

C5 Z06 no doubt

love the new looks of the c6 but with 20k id prolly go with the c5 zo6

I say C6 hands down. Much better looking cars, better built, better engine/transmission combos, bigger potential than a C5Z, stationary headlights...I could keep going on and on...I really don't like the looks of C5's much at all. C6's were a HUGE improvement over them.

C5 ZO6 would be my next ride.

1) Odds are you want another vette, since 3 out of the 4 options are Vettes.
2) You already have a c5, so why not go newer? At this time there are fewer c6's than c5's out there.

well i wouldn't mind having another LS1 camaro or possibly a new one but that and a C6 would be hefty on the wallet if I would even be able to finance one... C5 Z06's are getting cheaper and cheaper every second :D

although I wasn't too impressed with my FRC which is pretty comparable to the Z06... miss my H/C/I LS1 camaro more

what are you wanting out of a car? power? looks? class? low miles? insurance rates, etc? or like us all want, all of the above? I seen a 2000 T/A w/ 408 & APS TT for sell at $17k. just throwing ideas out there.

They are cheap even a vert is at like 45k right now with the rebates and crap. Great buys on new ones do it!

If you can't go that route - I say c5 frc since it would allow the lowest cash outlay, which would leave a fair sum of cash for mods to meet your road race goals.

Look for one on the cheap - complete gut on interior, mod the suspension and brakes first then start the engine build up.

Or go with the f-body which will leave much more money for mods! Would be cool to see a f-body spanking on the euro cars!

I have a FRC and a WS6. I will def get a C6 next. But since I need 2 cars I may pick up a used GTO since they are dirt cheap and getting cheaper by the day

I voted C6 if money isn't much an issue but I'd go for a Z06 myself. I love those cars and almost bought one but got my WS6 instead. My next ride will be a Z06 for show!

I voted c5 z06... thats the best choice. I'm afraid that the new camaro will become the mustang- piece of overrated junk that everyone will have

i would definitely go with the C5 Z06

C5 Z06. Best looking (especially if you get one in electron blue :drool:). Best performance out of the box by far in every way.

How much are the 09/10 Camaros estimate?
