Default ls1 crank

okay i have what might seem like a repetitive question. I have a 1998 z28, bone stock. My question is, what is the max amount of power that a 98 ls1 crank can handle. Ive heard anywhere from 400-1000hp. I would like a no B/S answer, no what if or maybes. What can it handle.

Your going backwards...you pick your parts depending on your hp goal, not pick you horsepower depending on your parts.

The LS1 crank is the strongest stock bottom end component. Unless you intend on exceeding 1000 HP I wouldn't worry about it. The stock rods (rod bolts) and pistons will fail long before the stock crank will let go.
