Default Flycutt pistons and N2O???

I flycutt my pistons awhile back to make clearance for one of the new cams that came out. I recently put the stock heads and cam back on b/c of some money problems, and was wondering how durable the stock pistons are with roughly .040 thousandths taken off to allow the valves to clear. I want to put the bottle back on, but don't want to blow it sky high when I do. I have a friend with his pistons cut .050 thousandths with a H/C car, and he has sprayed a couple times on it with no problems. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Josh
