Default C6 ATI Inlet Tube "mods"

I have heard that the inlet tube on the C6 ATI kit is a restriction. Has any body done any custom tubing setup for the inlet? The guys at MTI told me they saw a 100hp and 2.5lbs of boost, but this was on a 427ci ZO6 with a F1. I have a D1 and make 12psi.

I doubt you will see that much of an increase at 12 psi, but at 14-16 psi we have also found a 2 psi increase by using a larger air filter than the one that comes with the ProCharger kits. We will be doing this on this 2008 Z06 as soon as we build the engine and install the ProCharger F-1C. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=51 Bob

Not sure on what the design looks like for the C6's, but the factory ATI inlet tube with ATI filter on my D1SC for my LT1 showed 490 RWHP at only 9#'s of boost. After going with an aftermarket inlet tube, and a much larger filter (thanks to EPP ) I saw over 100 RWHP gain to the rear wheels and 6#'s of boost, so depending on how restrictive the C6 setup is, it can be possible to make those gains.

Very interested in this as well... I'm curious what filter we could go to with a larger intake pipe... I'm game for cutting/modifying the shroud to fit a larger filter...

EPP, any ideas on a different filter for us C6 ATI guys?

Not yet, but we'll be coming up with something for the new '08 Z06 that we are building a Warhawk engine and installing an F-1C on. We did get the LS7 engine sold, we'll be pulling it out this coming week. Bob
