Default Engine noise/ticking/tapping

I have this noise coming from my engine when I give it gas. I'd appreciate if anyone could view the video and give me their opinion. Thanks

And AIR tubes. I could be wrong but internal engine noise would be a constant. It makes noise under load, which leads me to believe its an exhaust leak, or I hope so in your case!!!

Any mods, hard driving, missed shifts? Did you mess with the headers, AIR, or EGR tubes recently?

your's sounding more like some sqeaking and whining to me. mine is kind of like a ticking whine. it sounds a little bit different from the video when you hear the actual engine. but thanks for the input, anything helps

the only mods are air lid, catback, headers, ory, and programmer. the headers, ory, and programmer are what I have put on recently probably within a month or so. it is automatic but we've set the rev limiter higher so I have been red lining somewhat. but yeah a lot of people are doubting it's an exhaust leak which was the first thing I thought it could have been, because that's what I hope it is. like I said we installed the headers about a month ago and this just started doing this yesterday. I did the same thing the day before and it didn't make the noise at all. and I turned it on yesterday and that's when it started doing it. it hasn't been driven since Sunday night but for some reason it started that thing on Tuesday

Check and see if you are missing any header bolts. On a header install its not uncommon after a few heat cycles for you to have to re-torque the header bolts. Double check the EGR and AIR connections, as well as the collector connections. If you have access to a stethescope with a probe, that should help lead you to the problem.

Check the ovious simple stuff first. If its not the exhaust system, Personally, I'd drain the oil and check the oil and the filter. Could tell you something, or it could not. After that, then I would say you need to dive into the engine before any more damage gets done.

my car makes a ticking noise also, i just installed header about 2-3 weeks ago and this past sat. night i noticed a noise also. Its not at idle and can hear it a 1,500 rpm and up when sitting still. Under light driving it seems fine but when getting on it a higher rpm's full throttle you can hear it. I really think/hope it is an exhaust leak to. It does almost sound like it could be lifters making noise also. Not sure till i check the headers and exhaust.

Sea Foam it and see if any white smoke comes out the headers. I had that sound and was worried, so I foamed it and got all kinds of smoke out the drivers side.

could be a slapping exhaust valve if you removed the rev limiter on theses it's very easy to tweak something besides that that I say re torque everything and if it doesn't go away take it apart to find out what it is. I think somethings broken loose

If it is kind of a ticking/squeeking or knocking/squeeking kind of noise it is probably an exhaust leak..just check and make sure all of you exhaust manifold bolts are tite..if that is what it is you will have spent no money (unless you have lost a header bolt) and fixed your problem for zero cash spent..it don't get no better than that dude...

thanks guys. I think the best way for me to describe the sound would probably be like a ticking/chirping sound. I don't know. but I appreciate all of your input

I was looking at all of the front end exhaust and everything seemed fine with that this morning so I checked it out again and now when I listen very closely I can hear a little bit of ticking on idle so it's probably going to be a rod, lifter, or something in the motor

If is has a chirping sound it probably is exhaust leak..check all your header bolts and make sure they are tight...Don't just look at them put tool on them and see if they are tight. I am guessing it is probably one in the rear of the engine.
