Thumbs up NEW 408 w/ L92/LS3 Heads & GMPP Single Plane Intake Dyno Numbers

Car dyno'd 456hp and 515tq yesterday at Real Performance Motorsports in Lewisville Tx.

Previous numbers where 429/438.

Major Changes:

Tuning
Neil Chance Converter (instead of Art Carr Converter)
Intake port smoothing
PCV System Installation
Drivetrain Pinion Angle Correction

Not bad for 42lbs worth of wheels and tires on the corners!

Nice work!
Considering the driveline losses that's some nice power your making.
As I recall you're running a relatively small cam hence the high torque peak. Must have a very big torque curve as a result.

When do you hit the track?

Yeah, uh huh, not too bad for a 9 inch, th400, unlocked stall, etc, etc.
I think they're pretty good.
Can you post a graph? I would imagine the 515 is from the converter flash?

Why did you go with a 2 piece driveshaft if I may ask?

Do you think that the pinion angl helped your numbers at all?

Some mexican dude at a driveshaft shop did it. It was his idea.... It is kinda weird... I will see if I can get pics.

Dont know if pinion going from +9 to -1.5 makes a difference.

Stock MAF are you kidding me? Replace that with an 85mm MAF and see what happens to your KPa at WOT. Major choke point at your cubes and rpm level.

I agree. I'd ditch the maf completely, and go SD with a wide open throttle body.
Looks like I was right about the torque. It usually happens that way with big unlocked stalls. The torque peak is at the hit, when the converter flashes.

Cross is always at 5200. Wondering of the torque curve from 3500 to 5200.
Would have like to have seen 2000 and up pull.

But Looking very very good

Car ran a best on motor of 7.31 @ 94, but the shift light didnt come on so it was stuck in 1st a bit too long.

On the 150 shot (565rwhp) it ran a 6.6@102mph with a 1.46 60ft..... weight with driver was 3795lbs. Considering it has been 108mph with 635rwhp on a B.S. setup and a 1.48 60ft.... I am sure it will go bottom 6's on the 200 shot.

You cant with that type of converter. Even if you start it at 2000, the graph will show up as starting where the converter flashes to.
I've started em at 2500, and had the graphs start at 5000 because of this. Never figured out why, its just the way it is.
