Haters. Seeing how that Camaro cam with a Straight 6 in it..... It was a non SS.

So was the stock straight 6 a waste of the camaro also?

stock straight 6's served a good purpose

less abuse on the 40 year old chassis to swap for modern power

While I never would have put that motor into that chassis, it is a VERY clean, and WELL BUILT setup very nice

Well it was done a while ago. But I think it was awsome idea, especially since the camaro was a non SS or z28 car and originally came with a inline 6 anyways... Well at least I thought it did. Besides us LS1'ers pretty much swap our motors into everything regardless if it fits or not hahahah. Well done swap and definately different.

Agreed x2.

One is not a 'hater' for wanting tradition to survive.
Something (tradition), that gen rice has forgotten (or has had pounded/brainwashed out of their heads by Japan, Inc.).

NOT everyone has to worship your 'infallible, indestructable, unbeatable, perfect, etc., etc.'<- ad nauseum GTE idol motor, as you fanboyzz do!!

That being said, yes, it IS a very sano, clean conversion with the highest degree of workmanship/attention to detail in it's execution.
I also don't feel too bad since some of the opposite conversions are starting to appear; your beloved Poopras with domestic 'hearts' (powertrains).

Lol

I dont think I said anything about the "almighty" GTE... Also fan boyz? Arnt domestic guys just as much fan boyz of V8s as Import guys are of 2JZ and Rb26 motors? So your a fanboy too...

I was simply stating to the first two posters that they needed to check the "hate" at the door. Hater....

Not a fan of the exhaust tips other wise its a great looking car but the sound does leave something to be desired, a little more depth and growl.

Until the LS1 matches the 2jz (even NA 2jz) in terms of performance, the 2jz will be the superior engine. Period.

I'd love to have that motor in a 69 4-door Nova! Stealth widened rally Wheels, modernized suspension and brakes/tires. Wow!

Bench seat (like the W2W car)

Very blind statement you just made there. It's damn near impossible to say one is better...they're both good motors. The 2JZ has a damn strong bottom end...but it has it's limits. I would pick a LSX based motor over a 2JZ anyday because of weight, more power can be made, and you can build a LS1 for a hell of a lot cheaper.

You couldn't go wrong with either one of them in the performance category...saying that one is better than the other is just like saying a Camaro is better than a Chevelle.

YES, I AM, (and damned proud to admit it as well!!) and NOT just our V8s either!!

But of course this is a cardinal sin to all of the gen ricers out there pimping for Japan over their own country's products where and whenever they can.
