Default so i got c6 243 heads for my ls1...

and it's occurred to me i have a 98 with the perimeter bolt valve covers and the ignition coils are bolted on individually. do i have to find new coils and valve-covers now, or do i have other options?

you can still use the coils, you just have to get some coil brackets out of a 99+ LSX. You also will have to do the same for the valvecovers. so 99+ valvecovers and coilbrackets.

I have a set of the coils and brackets brackets with the coils (two are cracked) you can have for $50 shipped. It has 6 good coils two of them were cracked when the engine rolled over in the back of my SUV when driving back from maine with it lol. I bought a set of truck coils so i dont need them. They are from a late 2000 LS1.

I did the same thing, bought centerbolt valvecovers and the brackets are only like 12 bucks each from the dealer even. Get hardware from your local hardware store and they bolt up...
