Default Steering Column HELP!! CHEVY II aftermarket front

I have a 63 chevy II with the checkered racing front end. I install an ls1 and t56... Now I order the flamning river column with tilt etc... FLA-FR20005 from summit racing... I have 2 universal joints that came with the checkered kit and I need to know what brackets I need to secure this properly... I know a couple of people have used this steering column with the aftermarket front clips but I can't find the posts...

btw the joints I have are 3/4 X3/4" smooth and the other is 3/4 X 9/16spline, but coming out of the steering column its 1"DD ???

Thanks Mark Tisdale

Default Steering Coulmn Help

HI MAN I HAVE A 66 CHEVY 2 WITH THAT SAME FRONT END AND I USED AN IDIDOT COLUMN AND FLAMING RIVER JOINTS AND STAINLESS SHAFT. MY COLUMN HAD A 1"DD SHAFT AND I JUST GOT A 1"DD TO 3/4"DD JOINT AND USED 3/4"DD STAINLESS SHAFT. I DIDNT USE THE CHEAP JOINTS THEY SEND WITH THE FORNT END. INSTEAD I BOUGHT THE GOOD FLAMING RIVER STAINLESS JOINTS. I WAS TOLD THAT THOSE CHEAP JOINTS WOULD BIND UP WHEN YOUR CAR WAS TURNING TIGHT.

I've just mocked mine up using the stock under-dash clamp - not sure why I'd change it for the final fit. Haven't fabb'd anything up for the firewall mount yet.

I didn't know there was a steering column option or did you mean when you bought the car? - I bought a FR column.
