Default Sub shorting out

One of my 6.5 earthquake SWS subs is shorting out once I hold it against the inner fenderwell. The wires and connectors are not hitting, it just the sub's frame coming in contact with the car's body. So there is a short through the entire sub's frame. Is this speaker no good or can I insulate around the sub? I thought of doing so, but then I've got the screws to worry about too.....

Any ideas?

OK thanks. lol. I got to looking and the manufacture did a shotty job on the soldering around the neg terminal. I did some cleaning up on it to keep it from shorting to the sub's frame.
