Engine races before idle
I have a 2000 WS6 with the following mods:
Pro Dyno cam package
Hooker headers
3" Y Pipe
SLP Loudmouth
Magnaflow resonators
Granatelli MAF
Skip shift eliminator
Hurst short throw shifter
Mezeier electric watre pump
It runs great except when down shifting. What happens is the engine races between 1k rpm's and 2 k rpms and then eventually after a few seconds at idle it'll slow down to about 800 to 900 rpm. But it stays at 1k and 2k on the way down from 3rd or 4th.
Any ideas on what causes it to race before it calms down?

then this is most likely your problem.
your desired airflow table probably needs tweeking.
i had a very bad tune by them and they stuck this table very high
at cold start, so when the car started up below 100*F
RPM shot to 1500 for almost a minute after.
they also put my PE ratio at 9.0AFR!
and did not touch my VE table so at cold start i was idling at 10.00 AFR.
they also did not edit out my SES light for deleting cats after i told them to!
my advice is to have it looked at by someone else.

So you actually used Pro Dyno in Tempe and that's the result you got?
