Cam Only 230/230 Track Results...must See
I am glad i went to the track yesterday...track prep was insane for the SCC event that they held at US41...pulling your shoes off good...
There is how it went...first got there and my dad walked the track and said it was pretty decent so i went to make a pass with my car is street trim the way i drove it there...passenger seat in for the gf, and still had both amps/sub box in so around 90lbs heavier than my usually 3300 lb raceweight...I wasnt expecting to run huge numbers due to the DA (after checking today around -70ft, we sometimes see -900 to -1000 in the spring and fall)...
first pass hooked really well that new spohn sway bar helped out 10 fold...
1.4257 60ft
7.0008 1/8 ET
96.38 MPH
9.2009 1000ft
11.0598 1/4 ET
121.31 MPH
after that i was like **** i gotta take this extra weight out and tweak off a 10 sec pass...
pulled the pass seat and rear subs and amps...
make some more passes but when i was T.O. (time only) all the street tire guys were dragging water up to the line and the track prep kinda fell away so i went back to the tech line and had him change me to NC (no clocks, so they will not display my time on the board and only give me half of a slip)...The were running the NC guys like a stock car track too so it was a win win...
So for the life of me i could not get the car to hook without unloading the chassis about 5 feet out and then hooking again...since i dont have front shocks yet to help with this we finally figured out what helped me 60ft so good...that damn weight in the back of the car...
So guess what we decided to put the 2 amps and sub box back in about 60lbs together, we did this after a 20 min break where they preped the track the best i have ever seen it before...ripping your shoes off sticky...
and this resulted
1.4551 60ft
6.9511 1/8 ET
97.15 MPH
9.1331 1000ft
10.9821 1/4 ET
121.86 MPH
FINALLY IN THE TENS and at 3350 raceweight...i would never had guessed that
I knew it had more in it...so i made sure on this next pass i gave it everything it had...the track was ready to hold finally...i shallow staged as little as i could and tried the brake stall it as high as it would go before pushing through the brakes and this resulted
1.4000 60ft HOLY ****...i knew it felt good but damn...
6.9231 1/8 ET
97.61 MPH
9.1062 1000ft
10.9512 1/4 ET
122.24 MPH
The slips are in the attachments...tell me what you guys think for a 4000 stall, ls6 intake, 3.23 gears,230/230 and 3350 raceweight, it can be done without a 90/90 and huge duration cam and stock 3.23 gears ....man i cant wait to get cold air -1000 da and drop some weight off the front end...hood, k-member, lightweight battery, shocks...etc...it never ends the addiction

That's amazing man! You give me hope for my cam only <3000lb, 4.56 gear car. My goal was 10s all motor cam only. You have done that so now it's not to say its impossible. You are a pioneer man! What lift is the cam or is it a 'secret'? I cant believe you're doing all that with 3.23s. You cant be on the stock 10 bolt are you?

I HATE you guys with the <1000' D.A.! I would love some of that! I race in Vegas and the track is at over 2100' so forget the great numbers. Anyway congrats on those numbers "Cam Only".
