Default Driveshaft Question

Have a built 4l60e from Performabuilt, now going to either a 9" or 12 bolt, question is this as for the drive shaft is there going to be a lenght issue? does it need to be shortend or is the stock lenght correct? or what does the lenght jave to be?, I am sure there will be a Ujoint change for the rear. Thanx.

When I went to a 9 bolt I used the stock drive shaft and then an aftermarket with the same length.

The 12 bolt uses the same length driveshaft as the oem 10 bolt does. The Mosr 9 inch needs a one inch longer driveshaft. Bob

how do u think one of these would hold up to 700rwhp/tq in a six speed car? i have a heavyass chromeoly one now but i need a shorter shaft and wouldnt mind a lighter one at the same time. pm me if there is additional pricing for a shorter unit.
