Default Is a Z28...?

Is a LS1 Z28 really considered a "sleeper"? I can see how an SS or Vette would grab more attention.

It's only a sleeper to those who think the SS is fast and the Z28 is slow.

I have surprised some and had other who were not suprised at all by my performance. Just depends on how educated the person is....

^X2 on education. Also debadging the Z28 and Possibly not showing the tips out the back can sleep it up a bit.

yea looks like a v6 so i guess you could call it a sleeper, especially when guys debadge it which i think is dumb but hey it's their car...but yea once you get next to it you'll know it's not a v6

why hide it? be proud of the z28 and it's heritage. Let the misinformed pick on you until you show them tail lights in a roll race and then add 5 bus lengths to boot...

+1 on being proud. Guy i know debadged his and i cant understand why. Sets it apart from any regular V6 rolling around town. Plus if you wanted to have a sleeper, go boost a honduh.

Only to those that put a good face on a boring thing. I still think GM should have added its own minor nitches to the Z28s to honor that heritage.

don't v6's have a body color sailpanel?

sure it's something most people would never notice, but would be a nice sleeper touch along with debadging.

I wish my sail panel was painted body color. I think the black looks dumb.

"10 more" horsepower a SS has over a Z28, call that all driver error. With a Z28 you if someone thinks you're slow, **** on 'em.

I badged my car because the Z28 emblems were the same color as the car. Served no point unless you were so close you could fog my back glass by breathing.

I race this fool beat him by 5 car lengths he goes around school telling everone my cylinder heads were cracked and had JB weld on them to hold ehm together, my friend over heard this one time and said, dam his cylinder heads where fucked and he still beat you dam wait till he get's new ones. Everbody shut up after that and he walked off. Then he went around running his mouth about an ls trainy and if he had it he would of won. He looked up my horsepower numbers and about **** himself

That's the whole and ONLY reason I ordered a black car!! (NOT for the 'sleeper effect', but because I HATE the black 'Eclipse/Talon' sail panel/roof thing!!).
I really wanted a silver Z28 hardtop, but could not stand that I could not get a body colored sail/roof.
