Ladies and gentlemen,
Looking to keep my Z in tiptop shape and thus am searching for quality subframe connectors and strut braces. What are the quality brands/designs? Thanks for the help!

I put mac sub f. connectors on mine, they were the weld in ones. I noticed a huge diff. esp when pulling in a parking lot and launching at the track.

I heard SFCs don't do anything but I'm buying them for the POM. I'm going with the UMI 3 point SFCs...I'd look into them....

Ive been told that you wont really feel a difference with SFC's if you already have shocks, but if your still stock then the SFC's will make a huge difference.

i noticed a significant difference in the ride of my car when i put in my boxed 2pt SFC from BMR.

in all honesty the ride seemed rougher over uneven roads (lots of bridges where i live, and the dips between bridge sections were noticable).

however this "rough" feeling was not a bad thing, it was the car's response to having a more rigid frame. the suspension was doing more of the work instead of the frame absorbing some of the flex. this was on stock suspension at 45K miles.

to me it made me realize how poor the stock suspension was... which still hasn't been changed.

i have spohn weld in sfcs. i like them because they tuck up nice and tight and you dont lose any ground clearence.

strut tower brace is going to be 95% cosmetic, or so the general opinion seems to be...there's not much of a difference from what I have seen/felt too. Better off saving $$ for springs and swaybars IMO.

if you have decent tires and suspension, you most definitely feel the difference with a shock tower brace and subframe connectors when you hit cornering limits. on some corners, i wish there was even more bracing. a lot of this has to do with not having a hardtop. i have bmr weld-in subframe connectors and bmr shock tower brace. last couple cars i've had i always threw on falken azenis tires and strut/shock tower braces (because those tires have some bite).
i'd definitely recommend weld-in subframe connectors, but also look for a setup that connects the two braces (that no one makes for convertibles). like umi's 3-point

i always try to but i always getr stuck behind grandma on her sunday drive. i took that way up to la invasion and got stuck behind like 4-5 people. but it is a fun road though.
