Cruising = 40*, WOT=30*. If you get a bunch of knock retard then back it off some.

Do some data logging with EFILive first, you shouldn't need to adjust them unless you have done major engine modifications. You will see the High Octane and Low Octane Spark Advance tables under the Ignition tab of Edit Engine Cal.

Thanks Cal I was looking to hear just that. I have my timing at 29.5 no KR and may be able to get 30 I stopped adding timing b/c of while cruising I saw a long list of 38 and a good bit of 42. Now that I know thats normal for cruising I wont worry so much.

One question though Is it normal for every now and then on a drive for my timing to drop to 24-26 at WOT. say in 5th gear doing about 65 mph. Usually its 28-29.5.

I used the High Octane tables.

I would say yes; that could be caused by bogging it just a tiny bit as you make the gear change at a lower than normal rpm with more throttle opening than usual. The PCM trys to adapt to your driving style and advance the timing all it can, but it might have to pull some timing if you lug it more than you normally do.
