Default zr1 didn't fit

Well I have some zr1 that where lying around my garage...I took them off my 00 ss and I wanted to put them on my 95 rs. I put the front ones on fine....but when I went to put the back ones on...they wouldn't fit..the zr1's are 17X9.5..

I thought that they would fit just fine.. Do I need to put a spacer or some sort of mod to make them fit...

I thought you had to grind something on the wheel to make LS1 type wheels fit. I don't remember exactly what it was.

the inner circle where the hub goes in has a lip around the ID. the 98+ rear axles were a bit smaller in OD than the early 4th gens. you have to grind that lip on the rims down with a hand file.

Make sure to remove enough material from each wheel that the wheels slide on and off the hub easily. Don't force them on.

Yes the rear hub "button" on early F-Cars is bigger that the latter, either carefully reshape the button or ream out the hole on the wheel just a tad.

A very common occurrance.
