You could pick up quite a bit by driving differently and scaling DFCO, Decel fueling. This occurs when revving DOWN the rpms through the gears to slow yourself down.
I have picked up 2mpg on my chev malibu maxx by doing this and driving differently

never had a jerky problem.
it was all over efi live website. I will post up my table. I honestly don't remember what I did to it, its been so long since I messed with my car as its fine as it sets. LOL. I will be re-dynoing to see the IC effects and also my exact boost level (Somewhere between 5-5.3psi i bet)
here are my tables and I don't notice any jerkiness:
The RPM enables and such could further be modified if you wanted. I will try to fine the thread on efi live about it (the main one)

Those values look very familar to me.
Only thing is that I set my reenable timer a lot higher.
My idea beind this was because if I disabled DFCO by tapping the throttle that I DID NOT want it to come back on ASAP.
This came to me because I sometimes noticed DCFO slows me down so much that the rate of decceleration wouldn't work for the distance I had to stop over OR some other factor.
For my personal experience, it did not make sense to have conditions where I was entering DFCO, accelerating, and then entering DFCO again within 2 seconds.

10 seconds. Maybe it is because I have steeper gears. But, I have found that DFCO is nice for when the light goes red and I am what I deem a "moderate" distance.
If I am at a "long" distance when I let off the gas I will get down to the point where the motor is idling and I am poking along way before I get to the light. So I will have to let it DFCO for while and then kick it off to coast the rest of the way to the light.
I am sure most people just go to N or just wait alot longer to start slowing down. It just works for my driving style.
