Ok, tomorrow I'm going to look at a 1998 Z28 black 6sp no body kid, leather interior with 30,000miles on it. The gentleman is asking $10,900 for it and I'm wondering what you guys think I can get it down to and if the car is worth it. From what he told me the car is in great shape no accidents no major repairs and its in great mechanical order. heres his little info of the car
**
One owner, Non-smoker, No accidents, Always garaged, All scheduled maintenance, Well maintained,LS1 V-8, 6 speed Manual, bone stock, FlowMaster exhaust, T-tops, Monsoon stereo, never had body work, free for any rust, needs no work, includes car cover, Ice cold A/C, Low mileage, this car was used as a toy, Very clean interior, Truly a must see. $10,900 O.B.O.
**
I've been looking for a nice ls1 for a while not really picky on anything but mainly not being red. I have a 92 red firebird that has a built up 350 with a t56 behind it and i got enough tickets with that.

anyway comments and opinions are welcome.

Thanks:secret2:

seems like a real good deal man. 10k for 98 30k mile z. Seems like he covered a lot about it. I think you'll be getting one great car IF it is the way he says it is

The way I look at it, the car's barely broke in, supposedly immaculate, and well maintained. I think it's worth $10,000, but wouldn't pay the near 11 he's asking.

Just give it a look and run a Carfax :pimp:

flowmaster sounds good on a manifold catted y car. My 99 had LT's and off road y and sounded like shit with it though. Too raspy. On a stock car though it sounds good.

It's nothing a set of Sawzall blades won't fix quick fast and in a hurry.

Check this thing thoroughly from every angle, in and out. If it's as advertised, I say you're getting a hell of a deal.

no one uses Edmunds anymore, financing wise. So for some reason their quotes don't hold much water.

I love when I see this: "bone stock"....."Flowmaster exhaust"

Next thing you know, it's the only "factory stock" LS1 Fbody in the world running 12.40s @ 111. :jest:

But if it's in the shape he says it is, I'd say try to get him down to the 10,000 range and grab it (even if he doesn't come down much).

went and looked at it and it has paint chips all over the place and deep swirls in the paint, as well as a rip in the drivers seat. All of these faults just didnt seem like indications of a car with 30,000miles on it that was well taken care of. the search continues

Got my 98Z literally bone stock (yeah, we've put it up on the lift and looked everywhere on it)...Only thing I had to change was the plugs n wires and get charge the ac a little (it was cool but not cold). Drove 18+ hours one way to get it. Thank God the car was in the condition it was advertised as being in. 38XXX miles on the clock. interior was super clean and the exterior definitely showed it was rarely driven (I can name the exact flaws that were in the paint when I picked it up).
They are out there, so good luck with your search.

after seeing the paint chips, swirls and seat tear, i say $9000 out the door cause for $9K you seem to be getting a really great drivetrain with low miles, paint is fixable and so is the seat

NADA is what most car lots use.
