Default MPG Replacing 4.30's with 3.73's

My beater died, and I'm commuting 85 miles total round trip in my camaro. I have 4.30's in a Moser 12-bolt. I am currently getting on average 21 mpg. I was thinking about putting 3.73's in for increased MPG's. I remember when the camaro was stock I would get close to 30mpg highway.

Has anyone done this, and can you tell me your experiences? I just need to find out the cost of the swap and the time to recoup the investment.

Why not just buy a stock 10-bolt with some 3.42's. You can probably find one for less than the cost of the 12-bolt gears. Swap the whole unit in and keep your 12-bolt intact for later.
