The TrueTrac is a gear type posi, and the HD Eaton uses clutch packs and preload springs. People say the TrueTrac is the best thing since sliced bread and will hold millions of HP, but if you do a quick search around on here, you'll quickly find that they are just as susceptible to damage as any other posi. The Eaton is rebuildable, so that is an added benefit...I've been more than happy with mine, and I really throw my car around turns on the street.
