Default Cant decide between two exhaust setups.

Im tryin to decide between:

Pacesetter longtubes/TSP ORY/Magnaflow catback or

Pacesetter longtubes/TSP True duals w/sweet thunders

They will cost about the same. Im just worried the Magnaflow will be too quiet/tame, but i dont think the TD's will be too loud. I have a formula and dont think they look good at all without tips, which is why i havent decided on the TDs.

Any Opinions?

TDs hands down....for sound and performance.

although you may consider doing your own build. that way you can run 2.5" and keep more clearance.

of if you really want tips run duals side by side over the axle and put tips on them. build it with 2 sets of dynomax pipes. you can buy the Ipipe and the axle hump section from summit. the setup for the v6 camaros is 2.5" instead of 3"

I'd go with the Magnaflow CB and Cutout. So you can be quiet when you need to be. Besides, if you take road trips you'll probably get tired of the drone after the first 500 or so miles.

these are the exact same two setups i have come down to as well, but i dont want tips because camaros look way better without them! im leaning towards the duals but the idea of having a quieter setup and being able to open a cutout when i want the power and sound would be really nice...if i do the catback i think i am going to cut the tips off and just let it dump on the sides of the muffler...sorry to hijack, but has anyone done something similar to this?

TD's are way to loud if you ever plan to go H/C IMHO. They sound wicked as hell but it gets old quick trying to talk over them or just listen to your stereo not to mention they are a COP MAGNET

true duals definately! you can always extend the pipes out the back if you get tired of the drone and vibrations your going to get with dumped duals.

Go with the catback. I just took off my TD's with sweet thunders. They sounded great, but drone on trips, rattles, and negative attention were enough for me to ditch them. I've been wrestling with my Hooker and ORY lately and it is a pain in the neck, I don't think the Kooks ORy and Hooker cb were made to go together lol.

My gmmg catback with my headers is loud as it is. I would imagine true duals would be way too loud.

Thanks for the input. I think im gonna go with the Magnaflow and a cutout. The drone from the dumps would prolly get old after a while.

True Duals. I switched from Catted Y/GMMG to X-pipe/Spiral Flows. Great sound. I did it purely for a money thing, as money is tight and I need a clutch, but I don't mind the TA without the tips in the rear bumper. The sound from the TDs more than makes up for it.

+1 on needing some tips out the back... I think it would look a little odd..

I'm one of the few that is going to say Magnaflow... but I'm also going to say it has to be with a cut out.. .. I have Pacesetter's and their Y all the way back to a 3 inch cutout and then the pipe steps down to 2.5 into a flowmaster... gives the best of both worlds... closed = quiet and like a normal DD.. and open = sounds good and begs to be beat on... With that said, I usually drive with it open for the most part, but it makes it nice to have the choice to be quiet or not.. Plus it lets you rope in unsuspecting victims and then open it up the cut out and watch the look on their face.. haha

it appears you have an M6 though, so you should be able to control the drone. from what i have been told drone is only bad on an A4 which i have so i have to deal with it if i go that way and i will probably still end up with the true duals

im pretty sure i am going with the go big or go home philosophy! i drive my car quite a bit and the more i think about it im just like **** it when i get the money im buying the duals. ive been in two true dual cars and they werent that bad and they were A4s. if i had a M6 there would be absolutely no question that i would have true duals on my car. every true dual car ive heard sounds like a night and day difference from a catback and its been proven to have power gains. hope this helps you out!

one more thing i wouldnt worry about the tips, the more ive seen without them the more it grows on you. if it ends up bothering you just get some dummy tips to put back there.
