Default newish 12 bolt and problems.... anyone

i recently bought a moser 12 bolt and have a few issues with it and hope someone might have some ideas.
At around 120 or so with speedo uncorrected (probably 90-100) my car goes into a horrible vibration and will hold it until the speed drops back down.
Also, i have a really bad gear whine in 5/6 gears when just cruising at highway speeds. The whine gets worse as the car gets warmer and a lot worse if i horse on it.
daily driveability is almost non-existant right now with all of this and scince i know little about why this is occuring im scared to death.
anyone have any ideas?
is this how a 12 bolt should feel?
please help if you can!!!!

you shouldnt have the vibration, but the gear noise (to a point) is normal.

Make sure your torque arm is not bending like the one here.
http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...php?service=58

The Moser 12 bolt uses four short bolts to secure the torque arm to the housing, these bolts tend to come loose. When they work loose, vibrations such as you are experiencing occur.

Pinion angle adjustment instructions can be found here. Bob

Alright scince i have had the rear in for a little bit now I have found that My vibration only begins during decel from 110mph ish and goes away at around 90 or so. The gear whine tends to get louder and louder the more i beat it a little.
I have an LG torque arm and the mounts are very solid unlike stock so i expect a little more noise but this is kinda violent when the speeds get high.
the T/A bolts are def tight so that isnt it.
any more ideas would be greatly appreciated
thanks
jesse

How is your torque arm mounted? To the tranny?

What is your pinion angle? You might have to lower the angle by just a hair. Meaning if you have a -2 try a -1.5. Is the TA bushing and tranny mount bushing ok?

I agree, I'd say the vibration is pinion related. Also, make sure you don't have a u joint that is binding up. I mention this because you probably swapped out the rear u joint for one that is a conversion u joint. Bob

The S60 is susceptible to the same issues. While it is bigger/stronger in all regards, it will still abide by all of the things discussed from pinion angle, bushings, U-joints, gear whine, etc.

Yes indeed, there are a lot of threads about gear noise in the S60 just like there are with just about every other rear. Bob

well we figured it out. We had the lcas set in the higher of the two mounting holes of my relocation brackets. It turns out that for some reason the driveshaft was just too long to be in that hole. The draveshaft had been pushing against the transmission so hard that it must have caused it to bind.

Not sure why the DS was so long but that little adjustment was enough to stop the prob. thanks for the help though guys!!

Now i just need to figure out a better place to test run the car after mods as the undercover state trooper didnt like when i passed him at around 145.
long story
