how to tell which lifter is bad?

how to tell which lifter is bad? was driving my car at about 5500 RPm and felt a lag in power for a second, then it came back. started it 2 hours later and it has a horrid knock to it. How do I find out which bank its on? I cant really tell by sound as its just echoing through the intake and throwing me off. its a H/C 02 LS1 vette
