Bad idea and it's going to look like ****. I've seen some guy with that on something I don't even remember, all I remember is thinking WTF! Might have been a monte or something.
Why don't you just run sprint car headers though the hood?

you dont need anything more than true dual 2.5 or 3.0 inch man..... or a single 4 inch mufflex kit which i have for sale if you would like to look at some pics.... the only reason i am taking it off is cause i am doing dual 3 inch bullets to drop weight for a race car and dont care about it being loud if its gonna be at the track more than the street

well still dude you dont go running dual 4.5 inch pipes under the car..... if anything you would just run 2, 4 inch bullets right on the header but i think dual 3.0-3.5 would be fine as long as you put a good muffler like borla or magnaflow on it..... people put junk flowmasters on stuff and yeah you might need dual 5 inch exaust to do the job..... lol

but to answer his question my good freind had a 1995 Z28 drag car with a 434 stroker running 5.70s in the 8th mile and ran dual 4 inch flowmaster mufflers under there with a turn down..... the problem was it had no ground clearance and tore stuff up almost everytime he took it off the trailor and scrubbed every where..... but i have never heard of anyone running true duals all the way to the back or out the back cause there just aint enough room with those cars cause everything is so compact underneath there..... ask me how i know i have 2 of them as far as being late model camaros

I have no ideal why you'd run 3" on a bracket 496 motor. Everyone has their opinion, my take on it this obviously isn't for a daily driver and you're looking for max HP.
I'd run a 2 1/4 primary and 4" duals if you're in the 7,000 rpm range, once you get up to the 8,000 range you might want to consider the 4.5 duals.
If you want to keep under the car space at a premium you can run the oval tubing which we use on our car that is dual 4" and it has more clearance that 3" round exhaust.

yeah sorry man i know you were just asking but that would look crazy to have dual alost 5 inch pipe going all underneath your car....lol have you heard of spintech? they do the rectangular oval exuast thats better for ground clearance..... look into them but they aint cheap! it might make it easier to do the 4inch dual but not over that for sure unless you are not going past the header basicly bolting on a 4 inch bullet to header
