Default leacking?

hey guys....never had problems with my rearend b4...i noticed about a week ago my rearend was whineing......car drives find....but now the rear end cover is leacking...can it be just a simple gasket swap..or could this be getting bad....pls let me know what you think...thanks

Where is it leaking from? The pinion or the diff cover?

probably the seal. when was the last time you changed out the oils in your rear?

The first thing you better do is check the gear lube level in your rear, we had one that partially made it to us, it was bone dry. I say partially, because on route to have us check his car out, the car quit moving forward and rearward. All the teeth on the ring gear were worn off as a result of running dry on gear oil. Bob
