Disassembling an alternator? The last piece of my LQ4 conversion involves the stock truck alternator. I have cleaned up and painted every other peice but the stock altnerator. I've never taken apart an alternator and was wondering if any special tools are needed for reassembly? I would like to paint the housing and obviously it must come apart.
