Default Quick question.

Im missing the bolts that hold the top shifter plate (piece that sits on transmission with shifter). (T56)

Anybody know what size they are, also when reinstalling it it seems like there is/was some sort of gasket/sealent on the bottom... what should i do to replace it?

Thanks

8 X 1.25 mm. Use a good RTV/gasket maker to seal the shifter to the trans.

OK,, thanks wrencher.. now i have another dilemma or something.. when i go to tighten the bolts they tighten down to the bottom and then just spin in the hole it seems... i attempted to lift the shifter with the bolts in and it doesnt lift.

So they are in there.... but not tightening all the way down?!

They couldn't possibly be stripped, could they? Gah... Anyone got a solution?

Sounds like they are stripped Sure you got ones that are long enough?
Might have to heli coil it to repair it.
