Hello, would anyone know why my car has been tripping on me. When im at freeway speeds every few minutes i see my engine service light flash, and when it does, my temperature gage jolts. I have no idea what would cause this, and whether its something i should be worried about either now or down the road.
If anyone has any idea or experience with this, let me know. thanks

Could be as simple as a loose or bad connection to the coolant temp sensor. On my car it is in the driver's side cylinder head between plugs 1 and 3, I think LS1s are the same, not positive though. Check the connector and wires.

yeah that could be it, i was wrong though... it is the "check gages" light that jerks, not the check engine. I dought that it matters,... but im hoping its something simple like that. thanks. Any other suggestions would be helpfull too.

One more thing, do you have long tube headers? They are notorious for melting wires and causing shorts and all kinds of problems. If you have LTs that's the first thing to check, see if the coolant temp sensor wire is touching them.
