Default Upper ball joint torque specs

I'm in the process of changing my springs/shocks. My manual has no torque spec listed for the castle nut on the upper ball joint stud. It says to hand tighten and insert cotter pin...? Anyone know what the torque spec is on this? Thanks in advance!

Default 39 Ft/lbs

I bought replacement moog upper ball joints and the directions stated 39FT/LBS for the upper castle nut. This is the only place I have seen the torque spec stated. If the nut is not aligned with the cotter pin hole at this torque then tighten to the next available slot. Don't back off (loosen) the nut to align the cotter pin hole.
