i have 275/40/18 KDW on the rear of my car with Koni 4/4 and Strano springs. i think for safety of your tires i would roll the fenders. with a 295 you might have to do the BFH mod, what is the sectional width of the tires?

I've got 295/35 Bfg drag radials mounted on 18x10.5 C5 Zo6 wheels on the rear of my car, and it's lowered with Eibach Sportlines (approx 2" drop)

I had to do the BFH mod to the front of the inner fenders, and remove my bump stops. Now they fit great with no rubbing.

Well every car is a little different....If it gives you any hope, we test fitted my rear wheels on a friend's 01 SS with strano springs, and they cleared almost perfectly....but under slightly hard cornering they would still run a little bit on his inner fenders, so a little BFH mod would still be necessary on his car if he wanted to run them, although not near as much clearancing as my 96 required.
