Default oil pressure gauge F'ed up?

my oil pressure gauge has been acting weird for the past few months.... the needle bounces back and forth from like 45 to 75.... when i'm under throttle at all or coasting in gear the needle stays around 70 but when i'm on the brake it drops down to around 45.... and at idle it's around 45 but flickers back and forth..... what's the deal??

btw i switched from mobil1 5w-30 to penzoil platinum 10w-30 but this all started before i made the switch....

It probably just crapped out. I would make sure that it isn't broken. I would replace the sending unit. Otherwise you have an actual oiling issue. You haven't messed with your intake at all have you?
