99 Camaro Steering Rack? Different ones for different cars?
Hey everyone. I have a question pertaining to the steering rack assemblies used on these cars. I have a 99 Camaro Z28 that I am currently parting out and selling parts for here on LS1tech. I have a potential buyer for my steering rack. But apparently they used different steering racks in the same car. There are a couple of different RPO codes for the steering rack and apparently there are 2 different steering racks that GM used in this car. Does anyone have any feedback on how you distinguish between the two? Any information at all regarding this subject! let me know! any and all information is appreciated!

I've gone through this a couple times with my car ..... FE2 is the code for the Z28 cars (and probably SS's, etc.). I believe F41? is the other, and it's for the V6's, if I'm not mistaken.
I'm sure they're probably all interchangable, but to keep it simple, I'd go Z28 - Z28, and V6 - V6, just to play it safe .

there is a the stiffer steering option fo F41, i have yet to find confirming information on it for anything. There is FE2 and one more that i cant remember that are optioned. I have seen the FE2 and the other one optioned together which makes me think its the SS suspension package with the Z28 (FE2) steering rack.
