Default 600 whp C5?

What kind of ET times would a 600 whp vette run? Could the stock rear end, and gears take that much power? I know the clutch would have to be upgraded obviously. I'm a newbie and still learning.

Low 10's with the right setup(clutch, tires,) Will have to have the hardened output shafts, they are the weak link, well, til you make something else the weak link!

Sounds good, so just basic upgrades. Nothing too serious. I'm doing some research before I get my C5Z. I'm thinking of going with a TT set up.

Yes you are 100% correct! It should run something like what's in my sig.

I've added DTE strut brace, drivers side hardened shaft, and tex clutch. Do that and avoid wheelhop, and the Z rear can take the abuse. Mine's held up for 3 years running various combos of nitrous and turbo, and I'm not easy on it!

I agree.
The smoother you are on the launch the better. If the wheels are spinning you are better off. Get a set of et streets or slicks to help with driveline shock and keep them aired up in the beginning while your learning the launch.
I would get the hardened left output shaft too.
You should be good for low 10's after you learn how to maximize the power on the track, but it will take alot of seat time.

I agree with everyone here. Hardened output shafts and a DTE brace. Also I would recommend upgrading the main shaft in the tranny, mine broke with a decent acceleration in 2nd gear on DR's. You should easily see 10's with that much power and good tires.
