Default Cats or NO Cats???

sup fellas, im currently in the military and i have a question. Im deplyoing soon and of course im gonna be getting sum goodies for my ride when i come back. i have decided to go with the LG's (kinda a given ) , the corsa PACE car exhaust system w/ a VRB2 ramair system. My question is should i go cats or no cats??? i mean i know u gain i tid bit of pwr w/o them, however i previously owned a 99SS (see sig) and didnt have cats w/ that system. I guess u could say i got used to the smell but i hated when i would pick up a girl and smell like exhaust (especially in the summer time). Plus w/ me being in the military i never really know where i could end up so emissions could be a problem. on the other hand i could save about $400. ive heard LG's w/ exhaust sound better WITH cats .... I would really like some opinions on this matter. THANKS!!!!

Is there a way to remove the cats without changing the manifolds or cutting anything? So you could put it back to stock latter easily if needed.

Depends on how loud you like it....

I had no cats on my 408 vert and it stunk on a hot summer day w/ the top down. I actually got sick to my stomach from it initially until I got used to it. It gave the car character...lol!

If emissions are an issue, I would get high flow cats.

Thats the set up I have (LGs and Corsa) and I ran no cats for a while with no smells and it sounded awesome. When I put the cam in it was so much louder it was awesome but the cops were all over me. With the LG system it is easy to go back and forth with or with out cats.

That's a good pairing of headers and catback. If you like it loud it should be perfect. I know I loved the way the pros and bullets sounded. Congrats on you pickup and hope to see you make some good power with the KOOKS !!
