Default Auburn or Torsen carrier?

I have two complete rearends with the same gearing- 3:23. One has a Torsen style carrier (factory) and the other has an Auburn (factory). Which is stronger? I drive on the street and go to the strip about 2x month.

A local tuner here swears by the Torsen.

I've heard that the Auburn has clutches that need maintenance/replacing, where the Torsen does not.
