It is sloppy and has a really long throw stock. A lot of guys (myself included) have put in the C6Z shifter and it's much better plus it looks very cool too!

the c6z one is popular. i went with a kirban, and its way more aggressive and shorter than a c6z.

You can buy the shifter and **** direct from GM from vendors on CorvetteForums for around 210 shipped brand new. Look around in the classifieds too, they can be had a little cheaper used.

I assume that when you installed the shifter, you added a bottle of 'slop-be-gone'

Ive actually been having the same problem. Ive been driving the Cooper S a lot, and I recently dropped a B&M short shifter into it. The shifts are absolutely awesome, I think I actually like the shifter more than the one I had in my S2000. But now when I jump back in the vette is feels terrible, and the throws are huge, comparitively speaking.

Do I have to drop the C6 **** in there as well if I get the shifter? Can I keep my existing MGW shiftknob, anyone know? I dont want the kirban/b&M/hurst shifters, they are way too high effort and too notchy for my/wifes liking.

Not sure that you can keep your current **** or not. The C6Z **** slides straight on and then a screw holds it in place on the side.

Hurst all the way if you want a race car feel. It gets old and strainful after a while of stop and go traffic but when your on it you just have to flick your wrist to shift. You will be faster.
