Default Anyone ever had a problem with their coolant light and the plastic side tanks?

Ok I drive a 99 bird t/a and the low coolant light keeps comming on, when I turn the cap no pressure comes out. I know that the coolant system should be pressurized, when I check the coolant it's full has anyone ever had a problem with gm and their side tanks cracking? I previously owned a 2002 s10 4.3 and the plastic side tanks cracked,

Yes there supposed to be pressurized. Get a new cap, when it's hot and you take the cap off, the excess coolant fills the coolant overflow tank so it doesn't splash everywhere.

+1 on the cap, the spring tension gets lost overtime hence it not being 18lbs cap anymore
