Default Figured I would finally share...

This has been my side project & I'm about to the point of only needing to save up for my machine work. Nothing super fancy, just a little budget build for a 347 forged motor I can spray. This motor is in no rush right now & I don't plan on it being finished, assembled & installed till closer to the end of the year.

Lucitos' Machine shop (here in Tulsa) will be doin all the work on it. They will be sending the internals to Carbone racing (also in Tulsa) to be balanced while they have it as well. Should be a nice solid little set-up when it's done. I'm just gonna swap over my current H/C combo along with my port/polished Aluminum Lingenfelter intake. I already have a nitrous kit awaiting install & my fuel system is getting pretty much a compete overhaul by the time the motor goes in also.

Since my car got rained in the other night, my interior has taken first place on my to do list for the time being. I'll get back to the motor build after the end of July & our anniversary.

So far here is what I have invested in this build:

2000 block/crank $200 off a good friend
Crower 6.125 rods w/ARP 2000 bolts $400
Brand New Diamond pistons $600

Stock 2000 LS block/crank (already bored to 3.905")--sorry for the blurry pic, it was raining

Crower 6.125" forged rods w/ARP 2000 bolts

Brand New Diamond street/strip nitrous pistons (3.905" bore/-7cc)

Wow Mike I think we are building the exact same project LOL! I have the same pistons and rods going in mine right now. I just got my block back from the machine shop with the 3.905 bore and all the clevite cam and main bearings installed. Since this is my first bottom end project I'm having a friend help me do the piston rings and check clearances etc. I'll post some pics of mine asap but literally I have the same stuff going in mine then lastly I'll hook it up to the bottle

Cool.

I also have a Melling high volume oil pump, chrome catch can, ARP head bolts, 36# injectors, HSW dry single nozzle kit(will be converted to dual nozzle before install) & Walbro inline pump sitting on my desk. I still need to grab a set of ARP main studs, new LS2 timing set, piston rings, extra stock oil pan & pick up tube & some other misc. ARP bolting. I want this new shortblock to be complete down to the pan so I can store my stock one with all the covers on it. For my fuel system I need to pick up a set of Speed Inc. billet rails & some misc. braided lines/fittings w/Areomotive AFPR.

I'm having Beer make me one of his nice switch plates for the nitrous kit & once it's all in & tuned, I'll be letting her breathe a 150-175 shot. I also have some painting/powdercoating to do on various engine parts while it's comming together.
