Default Output shaft problem/maybe?

I have a quick question. A few weeks ago I broke something in the trans or rear at the track. I got it towed and never touched it. I thought it was a output shaft because its a weak link. Since then I never touched it, last night I just went to start it up and I put it in gear and it moves about an inch. It will do it forward or backward. If it was the output shaft I would think it would not move at all. What could it be? Or I'am I wrong and it is the output shaft.

Yeah if the car moves , then you did not break the output shaft .
