Just got to Kuwait ( ali al salem ) How many people have been here and is anyone here right now.

I know ive been there. Ive only been to 2 places in Kuwait, one with a washrack, and that place was very very nice, and one was just waiting on a bird to Iraq, that place was a pretty freakin nice too.

I'm in Arifjan, have been since April. Torch team, we got here first and leave last. We are expecting 18 months. It's better than a stick in they eye...or so I've been told...depending on the size and sharpness of the stick. Oddly enough the guys in my co who are at Victory much prefer it there to here.

The base is nice but there have been almost sandstorms for like 3 days but it clears up at night. The work load has been kinda like back in dover. Tailswapin the F%%)))_ planes. If anyone is gonna be flyin through let me know I work ramp and will be most likely out at your plane

The only thing that blows is I turn 21 in july and we can,t

Hey bud, I'll be in Kuwait in Feb for a year Deployment. I've been there before, Camp Doha back in 01 and i turned 21 in Bahrain so been there too...lol. Maybe see ya around

I hate kuwait i would rather be back in Iraq. I am on the washrack detail right now escorting from Arifjan to KNB, then from KNB to SPOD and the damn Gaurds at the gate i swear ack like it is more dangours here than in Iraq. When i pulled up to a FOB up north i just told them how many vics personel and what unit i was in and we were good now i am getting treated like a damn terrorist over here. I am sorry for every one that getts stuck over here in kuwait the time was just been at a stand still since i left Iraq but i only have like 6 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice place to visit, I actually spent new years there while we were re-deploying.
Ali Al Salem was ok when I went through there a few times. All the McDonalds and other Air Force amenities.
I would rather be in Iraq, and +1 about the guards acting like it was way more dangerous than it really was. It was more of a pain to get onto Arifjan than it was Al Asad.

I've been there 3 times in the last 3 years. It's not bad at all, its a great deployment. The only thing that sucks is the heat this time of year. I'm always over on the Air Force side and the gym, chow hall, theater, and the pool are all very nice. I try to take at least one trip into the City while I'm there. You should try to get on the list to go...it's a good time.
Are you Air Force or Army? I'm in good with a few of the Air Force supply chicks that are there now. If you need anything I might be able to hook you up. I'm talking about uniforms and boots....not hummers and hand jobs. lol But, I could always ask.
