Hi,
I recently purchased my 02 Conv. Camaro and was looking for info on best ways to upgrade it (of course budget friendly) and came across this unbelievable site. I've owned two camaros prior to this one (95 3.4L & 95 Z28) so I'm not new to the cars but after reading the forums I realized how little I know. I've seen so many nice cars and great prices on upgrade parts that If anyone would like to give any advice off the top of their head after reading this I would greatly appreciate it. Oh yea I still own my V6 but totaled the 95 z28 which is why bought the 02.

Thanks in advance and look forward to talking with you.

Really nice car! As for upgrades, I would start with a lid, high flow filter, and a performance muffler(if you like a throaty sound). Eventually you will be going for a head and cam swap and hitting the 420 rwhp mark. Its like a sickness that I dont mind having.

Welcome to tech! For first mods you can do a lid, filter, cutout, catback. Check out any of the sponsors on here. Some have package deals on certain items. For example, WS6 store has a MSD plug wire and NGK plug package.

Thanx everyone for the compliment.
I currently have a SLP C-back exhaust and I just went to Summit Racing store today a bought a SLP lid and put it on. I'm going to buy some LT's & a TB this week but don't know which ones to go with. Thinking about Pace Setters headers but they don't have stainless steel and I don't want to have to replace them after a year due to rust, what's the next best thing price wise. any suggestions on where I can possible find a 90mm TB for around 350 or less?

Are you installing a FAST intake? Otherwise that $350 could go to better parts since your intake doesnt have a 90mm opening.Just a suggestion but look up "Damian". He does porting of your stock TB and I think I remember him talking about starting an exchange program so your car wouldnt be down while he ports the TB. I just recently bought ARH headers, they are great but they are a bit expensive. Many on the board use pacesetters and are happy with them.
