Default Anybody tried this exhaust setup?

So I just got my '01 SS put back together yesterday after tearing it completely apart to repair and upgrade it. I have the cam in my sig LT's with an ORY dumping into a LM1. It is stupid loud! Louder than my '99 SS with 408 cubes LT's and TSP rumbler! As it sits right now the car is not enjoyable to drive because it is so loud...can't even give it any throttle for fear of the police in the next county hearing my car!

To correct my problem I was thinking of a variation of the dynomouth exhaust that a lot of guys run. I was thinking of keeping the resonator and having the Dynomax bullett mufflers installed after the axle. That sounds like a reasonable solution to my volume problem. What do you all think? Is it overkill? Has anyone else do or contemplated this setup?

I have a buddy (LS1 Freak on here) who has LTs/ory and a loudmouth. He put a pair of the SLP bullets in the tailpipes of his CME and it quieted it down a bunch. Car sounds really good but not too loud at all.

That's more or less the setup i'm going for. Something that is a little more liveable on the street. At this point it is absolutely insane! I haven't seen anyone else with a setup like that on a f-body so I wasn't sure if it was feesible on a f-body. I think I will be going with Borla XR-1's. From what I have read about them they seem to be well liked by all who have used them.

I bought a Borla XR1 to replace the resonator. I'm hopeing that it will turn down the volume a bit! It's funny...i'm trying to quiet the exhaust on my '01 SS and I just finished the install of LT's and an OR-X on my Z06 to make it louder! Haha, I have issues.
