Default ipod,iphone artwork.

Does anyone with a HU that uses an ipod or iphone have artwork coming up? My iphone works with my Kenwood HU,but no artwork. I've talked to whitebird about this but he doesn't own an ipod, iphone. Also,If I use a usb thumb drive I get the cover art,but it will not play the protected files from itunes..Seems I can't have my cake and eat it too. Does anyone know of a workaround or any of this or am I doing something wrong?

i used one of these
http://www.wma-mp3.com/
it is trial software though.
when converting a file only do a few at a time or it will lag because of a disclaimer.
LOL
make sure you set WMP to rip CDs to MP3.
BTW
what format are itunes files?

itune files are m4p. I found a converter, probably the one your talking about .it works, but you have to pay $19.95 to get the full version. It will only work on 3 mins a song otherwise..

Why not just burn a CD using iTunes and then rip the MP3 files from the CD? It's two steps and it wastes a CD (10 cents) but it's basically free.

Ya know..I was thinking the same thing..I just haven't tried it yet..If you can burn them to disk and play them on your cd player, they should work on a usb too..I'll try it tonight..

the pod artwork only shows up on a true USB connection, to my knowledge Alpine is the Only HU that will display artwork.

I know that cover art works on the Kenwood from a USB flash drive - I've done it. I don't have an iPod but the HU documentation says that it will display cover art from iPod as well.

It does display the cover art from a USB,it does not from the ipod,or iphone..I also thought it would..I have the 20gig click ipod. It probably doesn't work with that..My iphone does play the music, but it says its not compatible..So maybe a new nano or ipod would work..Someone let us know if you can..
