Default T/A Even BIGGER Headlight Problem. Help

k so here's my situation:

On the T/A I just bought, the owner told me the headlight gears were stripped. the lights going up and down and the grinding just started happening last night.

Today I attempted to do the 180 flip to get to the good side of the motor. I think this trick was already done, and I made it even worse.

Now my drivers side headlight wont even open, it makes an even louder grinding noise while the passenger side flips up and back down. Then when it "would have closed (if it hadn't been stuck down) it makes the usual grinding noise.

Wtf happened, and what should I do.

Get two new motors or two new metal gears...thats all you can do.

Yeah I figured i'm gonna have to get new gears.. Only the drivers side is doing it.
Idk why it's stuck down now. After the 2nd problem, i messed with the manual adjust. and it would either:

Stay down and not open up at all, like it is currently.

and a few times it would just open and close repeatedly when I had the lights on.

Idk if its just the gear or what.. I'm considering taking it to a shop just so I don't buy something I don't need. i.e. if its the gear and I buy a motor, or vice versa

I did the gear, and that got stripped as well. I just said to hell with it and installed HIDs in the fogs. Im just going to save up so i can get new motors or rebuilt ones for both sides.
