The low coolant sensor could be bad, its the square one on the radiator near the drain plug.

Hook Up A Cooling System Pressure Tester To It...leak Somewhere If Its Doing That
but the coolant is boiling and evaporating, could it just be the sensor or something else, everytime i check it needs more coolant. And 1 time it overflowed and smoked.

haha yea i tend to agree with that one, id start by checking that your thermostat is working correctly, then i would also get your radiator pressure tested to see if it has leaks or is not holding correct pressure. also if you are on a stock tune and in a hot environment like i am (phoenix summers are a bitch 115degrees ) then these cars tend to run hot, in traffic mine used to reach 210-215 on a regular basis until i got a good tune and now it never shows over 185 even in a stand still in traffic with the heat outside over 100.
alright so my low coolant keeps coming on any other ideas? how do i test the pump if its working?

Did you unplug the sensor as suggested and can u let us know what your temp is running? This is very common on our cars and if you did a search you would have found at least 10 threads about the sensor failing. If it is your coolant sensor it's very easy to replace and you can pick one up at your local AZ for about 20-30 bucks and then you can retain the sensor.
well my temps go to about 220 while normal driving on the street without the fans on,however if it gets to this temp then the coolant starts boling and overflowing,I changed the tstat and nothing, there are no visual leaks on hoses or radiator, radiator looks new and very clean inside,i will go ahead and change the sensor, but the autozone did not have it and it will take 2 weeks to get to me if ordered.

Try flushing and bleeding your system as you could have some air in there some where. As to the sensor, get one from Rockauto.com as they have em' in stock and you should get it with in 3-4 days.

I noticed my coolant always seems to end up low. Im almost 100% positive that im not burning it cuz there is no smoke and its a fairly new engine. I think maybe the coolant evaporates in our cars?

Are your fans coming on? Is your air dam still on the car and in good shape? If those 2 are ok then check your water pump and flush the radiator.
alright, found the culprit(i think) i jacked up the car today turned it on and turned on the ac on,crawled underneath to see if both fans were on and only the primary was going(correct me if im wrong but shouldnt both go on if the ac is turned on?) I then let the car idle till about 235 degrees and neither fan automatically came on, again shouldnt both fans come on by that temp?
