Default poping out of 3rd

sometimes while driving under normal acceleration, my car with pop out of 3rd gear. I don't think it has anything to do with my tranny, i believe that it is my shitty stock hurst shifter. Any ideas?

Trans is going to die on you soon. Thats a classic synchro not holding the gear in.

I don't know if it will die soon. But it will die. Mine has been doing the same thing under over 500RWHP for about 1.5 year. My tranny is still alive and kicking. But you will need a rebuild soon. It is not your stock hurst shifter. This 3rd gear issue you have is a very common problem in the T56 transmissions.

The 3/4 shift forks can bend, even slightly and not fully engage the gear. Trying a stock shifter back on would be an easy test for the hurst issue though..

Mine will pop out of 3rd gear but under different circumstances.....It only does every now and then when I'm off the throttle. If I'm accelerating at all it'll never come out. I've got a PRO 5.0 but I don't think it has anything to do w/ it.

Still sounds like you're not getting full engagement. While accelerating, there's more rotational force helping to keep the synchro-ring meshed with the gear, but it's probably not ideal. Anytime a trans pops out of gear, is not a good thing and indicates a problem.
