LS1 S10 guys please help
I have a 97 S10 SS. I have a 98 Camaro LS1 mildly built()...
I have a universal Painless harness meant for the LS1 swap. I have it installed. I have a wire coming off the small terminal on the starter.....where does it go?...to the ignition switch????
right now I take it the fuse block ignition wire coming off the painless harness goes to the fuse block on the drivers side fender......
after I connect the blue wire to the ignition switch(if thats where it goes), and the other wire to the fuse block....is this all I need and the engine will fire? I have the fuel pump wire with its own relay, and all wires going to the starter and battery. the painless harness manual sucks.....
is this all I need to do? let me know....

its hard to know what your looking for. you can try s10forum but you probably wont get much help. the factory F-body wire comming off the small starter terminal was a purple 10ga? wire and on a F-body it runs to the starter relay. most people doing the ls1 swap used either custom built harness or a harness from other companys. I have not heard of many using the painless setup. good luck..

LS1 - S10 swap
Have you tried calling the Painless Tech line? There are 4 guys sitting there right now waiting for your call. (800) 423-9696 They ain't pretty, but they can answer your question in about a minute. There are only about 5 wires you actually have to connect to the chassis harness. The rest plug into the engine and/tranny sensors.
BTW.. you didn't give us a part number so we are not sure what harness you have. None of the Painless EFI harnesses are universal, they are all engine specific.
