I was just thinking of the same thing the other day. I know for the 99 anniversary cars you can get a copy from one of the historical sites but for other years Im not sure where to go either...

To my knowledge, you can't get a build sheet if it was thrown away when the car was new. Most of them were. You can't even get a build sheet for the classic Pontiac if the originals are missing or destroyed.

I have my original and one came with my Pontiac Historical Society packet (it was a little different than the one that was actually in the car...but had the same info.) I have read on here that PHS doesnt do late modle cars anymore but I just got the info on my SOM WS6 in November so I dont know how true that is...its worth a shot IMO because if they cant get it for you I dont know who can.

I think the key to getting them to do it is fax them your info along with the payment. I think they would rather just do it than not take the money. If you email them first and ask them then you might be out of luck.

The info packet and window sticker are WELL worth the money if you want documentation for your car!

I can't seem to verify that they don't do late model Pontiacs anymore. The web site didn't say that last time I checked. I'd really like to have it done for my 97 Formula.

I can't verify it either...thats just what someone on here said. I think they do...so go for it. But like I said I wouldn't email them and ask them, just order it.

they don't do Pontiacs after 87 anymore--I know.

You can't get a build--sheet but you can get a copy of the invoice from Allied Vaughn

734-421-0273 ext 107

cost is $50

PHS will do a window stick though

You can go to any dealer (GM) and they can do a vehicle inquiry or something like it and it will list all your rpo codes related to your vin.

Cost = 0

I just filled out the order form with my cars info and my credit card info and faxed it in per the directions....about 30 days all my info arrived.

Then in Feb I sent in the money for a window sticker and it came in about 2 or 3 weeks.
