Default Inital Turbo LSx numbers from Tempest Racing 1100hp/13#

Went over to see Joe tonight to get some inital numbers on low boost. I had the boost controller hooked up with every intention of 18-22# of boost but we didn't get there. First pull the car made 750rwhp with Joe letting out of it early to make sure all the systems were working correctly. We made about 10 pulls making small tweaks after each run. We ended up picking up 350rwhp from fuel and timing changes alone. The last pull the car made a ROCK solid 1100hp from 6k to about 9k with about 13# of boost on the last pull. As soon as boost came on solid the car was making 1100 and didn't tail off. We're going to pull the pan and valve covers to check the bearings and rockers to make sure everything looks good.

Can't say enough about Joe but he is a great guy with an abundance of knowledge.

Now what will this motor make on 25-30# of boost?

incredible stuff but then again you have top notch parts in that sucker! my only question is why do you have to turn a big cube LSX to 9K rpms? figure it would have to be turned to more than 8K at most.

You don't have to, we pulled to see how the engine felt up top if we need to spin for MPH.

Phil, good numbers for intial pulls. Glad to see your got our old S95 spinning finally. Hope it works out for you. Let us know if you need anything, or if you need to step up to a 98mm or larger later.

Phil do you have a sensor in place to monitor backpressure #'s?? I would be curious to see how the #'s rise in relation to boost. We just had a customer dyno one of our FI-91X's on a 2JZ motor at 47psi (1481rwhp)and backpressure stayed at 1:1 for almost the entire run. I a curious to see how the larger cube LSX motor will do.

No, we're sensor limited at this stage.
